Yesterday I was driving through the country in regional Victoria, Australia – in particular, the township was called Happy Valley. Like many small Aussie communities, Happy Valley has nothing more than a few homes and a pub. However, it also has a political statement – something that literally made me pull over and take a photo.

Yes, you are seeing right. This is a goat wearing a lifesaver’s vest, sitting on a surfboard which is sitting on the roof of a rusted old Datsun 180B. An Aussie flag flies proudly next to the car. The goat is being used to express a political statement to save the iconic Buffalo Chalet. Only in Australia, in a place called Happy Valley…
